Our minimum rack space available starts at 2U, typically 3.5″ high, and comes with 100Mbps. The largest space we offer is up to you, as we have 24,000 square feet of space at our facility.
Yes. We offer a 1-month free discount when you prepay for your colocation services for the year.
Kitchener is located in the Waterloo Region which is home to one of the largest growing technological hubs in the world, putting your equipment in the heart of an increasingly technical economy and competitive market.
Our colocation facility is monitored 24/7 with off-site security personnel and real-time surveillance equipment. In addition, all perimeter doors are equipped with security alarms, video cameras and fob access. All racks have keys, and for an extra bit of security, locked cages are available.
Customers are also welcome to bring their own security equipment where required.
Each rack includes a /31 with 2 static IP addresses. Blocks of IPs may be purchased at additional cost, with discounted rates for larger IP blocks.
1/4 of rack space starts with a bandwidth of 100Mbps and can be upgraded to 100Mbps. Rack & Data can facilitate anything up to 10G or more with carrier-neutral connections and customized carrier connections. We also have a Meet Me Room available for customers, with a standard GigE interconnection speeds that may also be upgraded.
Currently, our colocation facility has multiple interconnections to internet service providers (ISP) that include: Rogers, Bell Canada, Fibernetics, Orange, AKN & Megawire.
All server racks come prewired with 6000 Watts of power, which equals out to about 50 Amps at 120 VAC. If your servers and equipment require more than 50 Amps, we will be happy to accommodate your needs.
Yes, we do. Crypto mining at a colocation data center has become very popular over the past few years because of its cost-effective on-site power, cooling, and bandwidth.
We ask all our clients to bring all additional accessories that their equipment requires. These may include rack rails, additional Ethernet cables, cable management ties, power cords, and setup/testing equipment with Wi-Fi access. Basically, we provide the racks, power and connections, while you provide the equipment.
Yes, we can accommodate our clients on a case-by-case basis, but your equipment must first be preapproved by one of our colocation technicians.
Our data center is equipped with forklifts and multiple loading docks where we can easily accommodate large loads for your server migration.
Customers with 1/4 cabinet or more have unescorted access to their equipment, anything under that would need an escort through the facility. Fobs are also available to gain entrance into the building.
Yes. Currently, unscheduled access to the facility is available during normal business hours, but clients still have 24-hour access 365 days of the year.
Yes. Our technicians, or remote hands/feet, can help provide you with basic tasks such as rebooting a server or connecting a network cable.
A technician can be available after-hours, whether it is scheduled or unscheduled, to help with any assistance. Please note that after-hours availability comes at an extra cost.
Our facility is equipped with emergency power generators that run on fuel and are automatically activated in the event of a power disruption. All power supplied to the racks are protected using backup UPSs. The roof is also outfitted with a solar power grid, with multiple carrier-neutral internet connections keeping uptime at a maximum.
